What is new and unique in this technology?
The gearing mechanism that is at the core of this technology employs rollers (balls) in pure rolling motion to transmit the movement. The technology provides for a universal and very different framework, a tool-kit, that can be used to design gears for absolutely any geometries: various axes angles and offsets, ratios, sizes and shapes, including worm gears, any torque, rpm, precision, application etc. One can say this is a new paradigm in mechanical gearing - "BEARINGS FOR GEARING..."
Is there anything similar in the market?
While there have been numerous attempts in the past 30-40 years or even further back to try to use rollers in gears and transmissions to reduce frictional losses no one has ever succeeded to achieve pure rolling motion and benefit from the resulting high energy efficiency. The only exception is ball-screw drives but they only work in the special case of collinear shafts while this technology is completely universal and works for any shaft angles and set-ups.

This technology provides for an alternative to all existing gear and transmission technologies and offers major advantages and improvements in performance. Involute-tooth gears have been with us for literally hundreds of years and this technology could prove to be the first major and universal attempt to break this particularly long-lasting hegemony.

First of all, since the technology is based on such a fundamentally different approach there are a lot of advantages that may look insignificant at first sight yet could be of major importance in some applications. What are the applications of this technology?
Our technology is applicable everywhere where gears and transmissions are needed. This is a huge market of about $100 billion and includes all vehicles: cars, trucks, bikes, trains, trams, ships, airplanes, helicopters etc, all material handling equipment such as cranes, lifts, conveyors, escalators and ropeways etc, machine tools, mills, mixers, windfarms, turbines, generators, and all kinds of other industrial machinery.
